Cake Plateau For Ivory And Gold Cake?

Hi all,
I'm talking with a bride who is looking for a simple ivory cake. I think we're going to decorate with ivory rose petals and gold luster dust. She is interested in having a plateau. Can I use silver with that design? Can you get gold plateaus anywhere? Is there another color that would work? Thank you for your input!
While a gold colored plateau will look wonderful with those colors, it's also one of those things that I put under the heading of "no one will notice".
I used to write a newspaper column on wedding planning and one column was entitled "No One Will Notice...." It was filled with things that brides tend to stress over that no one else will pay attention to at all.
I can guarantee that not one guest will be over in the corner whispering about a (gasp!) silver base when the color theme is gold and ivory. 
Silver is also one of those universal colors/materials that just illustrates elegance, no matter what the color theme.
