I just got her book and wanted to try some of her recipes she has given.

Has anyone here used her recipes for cookies? If so which ones and were they yummy?

Thanks for the advice.

You know, I haven't tried her cookies, but the cookie recipe I use is almost identical to hers and I've found that recipe to be very tasty and tender, yet sturdy enough to handle heavy decorating. Hope that helps! icon_smile.gif

I've never used her cookie recipes, but I've used her glace' icing a lot. It works great and you get a nice shine to them. My valentine heart cookies in my photos have the glace on them.

I've made her orange cream, shortbread I, almond paste and chocolate cookies. They were all great. My favorite is the chocolate - be sure and use Dutch process cocoa. I personally don't like the orange cream, however my family and friends beg me to make it.

Wow! You are the cookie pro! I love the way your cookies look. Am I correct? You say you don't need to outline the cookies first before icing????

I think I'm going to go with her regular cookie dough recipe and her glace.

I do think the orange one sounds yummy too and so does the chocolate but I'm making cookies that look like a dog bone for a puppy party and I'm putting all the kids name on them and using them as place cards that they can eat. I don't know how many kids would like orange and chocolate wouldn't look right as a bone.

Thanks everyone!
