I would love to make a chocolate ganache for a cake tomorrow. I was wondering about the cream that the recipe on this site calls for. Is that heavy cream? Thanks for the help, again!!

heavy cream whipping cream it's all good
ganache is as easy as boiling cream so don't fret you'll do fine.

Yes, it's heavy whipping cream. I use 1 cup semi-sweet chips and 3/4 cups heavy cream. Heat at a low temp until the chocolate melts and it's smooth and glossy. I use it to top cheesecakes, and pour on while thin so it makes a glossy, flat service. Or you can allow it to cool off and thicken. You can spread it like icing or let drip down the edges and sides of a cake.

Mmmm...I love ganache! I use the Ghiradelli (I hope I typed that right) chocolate. Yum.
I use 8oz chocolate bar chopped and 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream. I melt in double boiler then immediately cover cake. I push the chocolate around a little just to help it cover the sides.
