HELP. I need assistance quickly. I've the recipe for the Super Enhanced Cake Formula which calls for a 9" cake pan. I want to bake this cake in a 9x13x2 pan. Will I need to double this recipe in order to do that? I need the cake by tomorrow morning. Also, would you suggest baking 2 of these in order to fill the cake with a custard filling?

Here are Wilton serving charts which give batter and frosting requirements, by pan size, as well as baking temp. and other info:

As for making two of the 13x9x2 cakes, it would depend on how much cake you need.

If you have a Wilton metal pan in that size, and use the baking strips, one cake torted and filled might be enough. A cake done this way would be about about 2" tall which is pretty standard for sheet cakes.

I will make one cake in this size pan and thank you for such good advise. The web site is very informative.

We will have about 24 at the party and one 9x13 should do it just fine plus we are having another cake as well.

Thanks again. I certainly appreciate all inquires as I'm very new to this

What a mess. The Super Enhanced Cake Formula calls for 9" cake PAN, not pans as it should be. I now have batter on the oven floor. Should this not be changed in the directions to read panS
