Need Expert Help- Accepting All Ideas
Decorating By Bakerychallenged Updated 6 Jan 2007 , 3:25am by Doug
I have accepted a challenge from a Male co-worker who made me a "worm cake" for my birthday, you know the one in bunt pans with green icing and cookie crumbs with Mr. Potato head faces...anyway...another of our co-workers is celebrating her 60th this monday and I need a really cool idea for a cake...I want to out do him...
Any thoughts??? We are celebrating it like a "Sweet Sixteen" but leaving off the "n" making it a Sweet sixtee...so a little girl, princess theme is cool but how do I make something really cool???
What about a doll cake? You can mount it on a sheet cake . . . . if people have a sense of humor, I read on one of these threads that someone did a doll cake with a ken doll - a doll in drag (which sounds funny to me!).
The castle is also a good idea . . . if you really want to go crazy, you could try and do both the castle and the princess.
Welcome to CC!! I noticed your name is bakery challenged so I am going to go with the idea of a simple sheet cake with a dollar store tiara and princess wand, maybe a feather boa around the outside. ![]()
ambulance shaped cake...
but it's pink
and labeled
"princess rescue squad"
can add subtitles like:
tiaras polished.
faces lifted
saddle bags lipoed
etc.
--------------
pink suitcase packed....
stickers from all kinds of spas
tickets to Miami w/ reference to Nip/Tuck surgeons included.
--------------
"worn out" take on the more traditional slipper/pillow/tiara cakes....
slipper w/ broken heel/strap
tiara w/ parts missing
stained pillow.
some kind of reference to shoe killing feet and/or needing it in a size 10 or more.
---------------
doll cake in front of mirror...
dress obviously not a good fit...
"are you sure this will make me look ten years younger?"
