The magazines, Mialbox news and American cake decorating, are they any good? I saw the add on the cake flour box. Is it worth ordering them?

When you're addicted to cake decorating like I am, all magazines and books has something to offer.

MBN has beginner cakes to professional; not as sophisticated as ACD.

ACD is "geered" more for the intermediate baker. Pics and articles are much better!!

I get them both, but, again I am an addict!!!!! icon_smile.gif

I have ACD but am planning to get MBN at some point. In fact I was just at the cake store yesterday but they had already sold out! I like ACD a little better because it's more professional -- in techniques presented and overall appearance of the magazine. Mailbox News, however, has some very creative ideas put forth by mostly beginner cake designers. But if you have a cake you've done a couple of times and have perfected the technique on, take a few pix and send it in!! Some very big names in the cake world have started out that way! icon_smile.gif
