Have any of you tried doing the WASC recipe with chocolate or any other flavors? I am trying to make a chocolate cake and I love the flavor of that one and thought I read somewhere that people have tried different ways but when I searched on here I wasn't able to find anything. Please let me know what has worked for you icon_smile.gif Thanks!

I use the double fudge cake mix and use all vanilla (no almond) and it is really dark and moist and delicious. Some people sub some cocoa for some of the flour. I did that the last time I made it b/c all I could get was swiss chocolate mix and I like my cake good and dark. It was also excellent, dark and chocolatey.

OH! and use 3 whole eggs in place of the 4 egg whites (for a single box of mix)

I use the BC devils food mix with either vanilla or almond (almond preferred). I also use 4 full eggs (for one box). The last time I made it I threw in a chocolate fudge pudding mix, very very yummy. I actually like the chocolate version better than the white.

Thank you guys so much! I will go ahead and try that. I appreciate all of your help they both sound yummy. Just to make sure I have it right though, you follow the recipe for WASC but substitute with chocolate and change the eggs? Or do you just follow the instructions on the back of the box and change the eggs and add a box of pudding?

I just follow the WASC directions and change the eggs.

I love the way mine comes out:

BC chocolate fudge mix
Substitute 2/3 c of the flour with 2/3 c cocoa powder
Add a box of chocolate pudding
Use vanilla creamer for 1 cup of the water
Three 6 oz containers of vanilla yogurt instead of 2 c sour cream
4 teaspoons vanilla

For the chocolate lover, toss in a pkg of mini-chocolate chips icon_biggrin.gif
