I was just wondering how you made out? I ended up in tears after making 8 pounds of fondant only to have it tear off my cake after it was on. I have never had any luck with fondant and I am dying over it because I love the way it looks! I am at my wits end with fondant.
My fondant looked like your except it wasn't that soft, it was actually hard to roll out, but I don't think it was too dry (lots shortening added too).
