Look, kiddo,

Where do you keep getting this plethora of misinformation from? Are you even fully reading the documents that you are trying to quote?

KANSAS
Basic Minimum Rate(per hour) Premium Pay After Designated
Daily Weekly
$2.65 46

But here is the part that you are not telling anyone:

The State law excludes from coverage any employment that is subject to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act - that means that restaurant servers, and people who fall into a separate category of labor of those that are covered by minimum wage, are paid a separate minimum wage of @2.65 per hour, because their employers can apply a percentage of their tips to their wages. The amount that people in the applicable category falls into varies from state to state.

I have a degree in Human Resources, and this is what I came up with when I flawlessly researched it, and here is my site source to prove it:

NATIONAL minimum wage prevails, and is currently $5.15/hr. The ONLY workers who are paid less *by their employer* is those who get tips. If you work for tips, your minimum still has to be above $5.15 or the employer must make up the difference.

If more people would read ALL the information, as Theresa did and shared, there would be less drama in the world. There is a LOT of info out there, if you would like to REsearch icon_wink.gif

even with the info of the web site, unless you know what the federal min wage is you could still me confused.....FL is as stated with a person earning tips also at a much much lower rate & i feel that's very sad that what you get is based on how someone else feels that day--DH & i try VERY hard to tip at the going percent or above (restaurants), but we have family members that have money to burn & one of them always tips a dollar maybe two--that's sad

so anyway, i guess i'm glad overall i live in FL, although some states pay much much more--haha

Oh, my goodness!

Excuse me I can't help myself I have to say this even if it means getting into trouble.

I am blown away by the bullies. Somethings I've seen post to others that are so rude. Why does any of us have to be so nasty?

I was told by a very wise person that people are like that because they are unhappy with their lives.

98% of you are kind, carring, considerate, funny, easy going, sharing, and I enjoy your friendship. But, the other 2% makes me uncomfortable with how you treat others in a form of discrimination.

To the one that put this web-site together there is not a day goes by that I don't think of you and I'm greatful for the great service you done. I know you work hard. I am sorry to vent like this but I get on the defensive when I think someone is being mistreated. Forgive me.
