I just recently used my "freebie" coupon for these, got the dark chocolate kind. To me they taste an awful lot like regular bittersweet chips, and they are considerably more expensive.

Just a little FYI. Janice

I have already used my free bag of choc chips. I also got the dark chocolate, which I melted with a tad bit of crisco and used for dipping chocolate mint cake balls. I normally don't like dark chocolate, but I did like the flavor with my mint cake balls. I loved these chips and felt that they melted much smoother and coated better than anything else that I used...but that's just my opinion. icon_smile.gif

I made about 35 dozen (A LOT of work) cake balls for orders and gifts at Christmas time. Whew!! icon_eek.gif

AngD, I must admit that I just ate them (no other chocolate in the house...desperation!)

I see Kendraanne liked them for dipping, so I'd have to say they are definitely worth another try.

I just used the dark chocolate bars for dipping cake balls in. The bars worked great and I really liked the consistancy they formed when they were melted with a tad bit of Crisco. Now if only they'd come out with something just a tad bit darker for my true dark chocolate friends.
