Hey CCr's!! Just made a 1/4 sheet pineapple upside-down cake to be delivered in about 1 hour... it looks good, but I'm debating a border. I think typically this type of cake doesn't have one, but I'm feeling it's missing something(sorry I can't provide a photo - my cam's messed up icon_cry.gif )

Is it iced in b/c or some other icing? If not then no I wouldn't border it.

Most don't have borders, but if you want to finish it off, you can always add one.

If you have some leftover cherries, make a border using the cherries. Dot some icing on the area you want it to stick and put them around the bottom. Or, make a red border to pull the red from the cherries you have inside the pineapple.

Hey I'm from the south and pineapple upside down cakes do not have a border. The cherries and pineapple on top provide the decoration. Just turn it out on a pretty board and serve.

I have seen big fluffy clouds of whipped cream with cherries "crowning" these fluffy stuffs. But that would have to be last minute to hold for long.... icon_biggrin.gif

Well, you know what? I left the cake as/is and the customer loved it. He said he couldn't wait to eat it and gave me a tip($2, but hey every lil bit helps, right?) And I also have a pending order for another cake after he finishes this one...hopefully. He called about 2 hours after I delivered and said that the cake was delicious and that he loved it...YAY ME!! Thanks again for the tips!! icon_biggrin.gif
