Hello, This is my 3rd try at a character pan. I'm having troubles with the edges or narrow areas being to dry and hard after baking!
Is there any way to stop this? It seems like those parts are well done before the center of the cake is!

I usually fill mine with about 1 1/2 cake mixes. I know it is supposed to be a one mix pan, but it is much better with a little extra batter. Then, I will bake mine at 325 instead of 350. Takes a little longer, but worth it. HTH

Maybe it will help to put on some nails on the center to distribute the heat evenly, or to put some baking strips on the pan,

Happy New Year!!!!!

Good Luck!!!!
