I have seen so many beautiful cake/cupcake holders that are glasses or ice cream dishes inverted in between the tiers. How do you guys do that without fear that they will flip? Is it just gravity and weight doing it or is there a temporary adhesive product that is used? Or are they permanently affixed? I have quite a few of clear plates and cups/glasses/bowls from my catering supplies and would like to use them for cake displays but I am hesitant...
Can you share your secrets?

Thanks so much. icon_smile.gif

I have 3 depression glass cake stands of differing sizes that I stack on top of each other. They are heavy themselves and then when I add the cupcakes that helps. I've also uses vases, candlesticks and glasses. When I use these I put double sided tape around the rim of them before placing the plate on top.

I believe hot glue peels off easily after use. (You might want to try it on some unimportant glassware first to make sure it doesn't leave some sort of mark, though.) icon_biggrin.gif
