Customizing A Box For A Tall Cake

Since most of my finished cakes are more than four inches high, I've developed this method of packaging them up. I start with a variety of one-piece cake box sizes. When I cut my custom cake boards, whenever possible, I am mindful of the box sizes.

I've had the same problem. Now I just buy Banker's boxes (file boxes) for my cakes that are up to 11" in diam.

They are only about $1-$2 per box, way more solid than a regular box, they have a lid & good handles already, easy to show the client their purchase, and they even fit stacked cakes up to 11" tall!! icon_smile.gif
