For a while now, this website has not been fitting into my screen and I always have to scroll over to see the right hand side. I've posted the issue in the "technical support" forum but didn't get a response and it's still that way; even on other computers. I really hate this! Does anyone else have this problem?
I have not downloaded EI7 or made any changes to my computer settings at all.

I forgot to mention that it never did this before....
I'm not only having that problem, but this seems to be the slowest site on the internet to load up!! I don't know why, but every other site I go to loads quickly but this one. Why is that??
I'm guessing your screen setting is set at 800 x 600. I have mine set at 1024 X 768 and I would only have to scroll over a tiny bit. Your computer hasn't changed, but they way they do their webpage has!
On my school webpage I have it set so it automatically adjusts no matter what the computers setting is, but they must not do that here.

Thanks JodieF, that helps, of course now everything is so tiny that I'll need reading glasses on top of my normal specs!
As for the slow site question...I know they upgraded sometime in the past year and it's actually FASTER than it used to be. Something about heavily loaded servers...I'm not a techie, so no clue. But can imagine the THOUSANDS of pictures we all upload has something to do with it! ![]()
#1 - one of the ADs we are currently running does push the site to a 1024 pixels wide display.
800 wide used to be the web standard but as more and more people are getting newer and larger monitors, the new standard is pushing to a 1024 wide display.
#2 - Different people experience the site at different speeds and I really can't tell you why. For me, 90% of the time, cakecentral is just as fast as most other sites I visit, occassionally, if we are working on a server, or the servers are being overloaded by too many connections, things will slow down.
We currently run 4 servers to host cake central and I am sure we will have to add at least 2 more in 2007. Just remember, our site has a very large number of people visiting it, viewing alot of images, and we have no big company behind us to provide more and more hardware. The only thing that pays for the servers is the CC store.

Ahh...NOW it makes sense! I asked this question a while back, and was told that nothing had changed. I knew that it must have been some type of change on this site, because we didn't change anything on our end, and it is only this site that I have to scroll over. I can't read the words on my screen if I change it to 1024.
