That is just perfectly done and looks gorgeous! Good job sugar friend.
And your welcome on the instructions, I'm glad to see that people are able to understand my explanation of how to do these. Now, what did you use for the wrap itself? It looks like it must have been something more sturdy than waxed or parchment paper. Aren't you pleased with how well you did and how easy these are to do?

I used chocolate almond bark. I was going to use milk chocolate chips but this is all I had left in the cabinet. I used the wax paper method and it worked perfect till I tried to push them together at the back and I got a 2 inch crack on the other side but other wise I am so pleased with how it turned out. I used devil food chocolate cake and used the cake extender recipe and it tasted awsome also for icing I used a old recipe for Italian cream icing, the only problem was that I got the icing to thin and right before I put the chocolate on it started to bulge under the weight. I would love to no how to thicken up my cream cheese icing so it want do that anymore. Thanks alot for the kind remarks.

I applaud you because I could never get a wrap that smooth and straight with waxed paper. You know I've been thinking of something else that I used before I discovered Mylar. Freezer paper comes in a roll now, I think Alcoa or Reynolds makes it and it should be in with the waxed, saran and foil wraps in the grocery store. I used freezer paper from the meat dept. because I worked there and had access to it. Just cut it to the same measurements you would use with Mylar or acetate paper. There is a dull side and a shiny side, if you spread the chocolate on the shiny side it releases well and also leaves the wrap with a shine to it.

ShirleyW,

You are such a great help to all of us CC'ers! Thanks for your time and devotion! Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on wraps for CC and submit it to Jackie and Heath?? I would love to be able to refer to it time and again until I get it mastered to my satisfaction!!

By the way, JasonL, your cake looks awesome!!

That is very sweet Christeena, thank you. I am happy to help if I can. Stephanie was nice enough to post the instructions for the wraps for me. Here is the link.
