Preferrably one that doesn't require cooking like a Bavarian creme and would be able to stay out at least 2-3 hours. Thanks!

Sometimes good old fashioned Vanilla buttercream works just fine! icon_smile.gif

Here is my favorite, it can be flavored with any extract or liquere you like, or just plain Vanilla. It is a mock Bavarian filling because it doesn't require cooking. I have used it in all types of cakes, including wedding cakes that have sat out at room temperature for several hours after being refrigerated overnight. It doesn't break down or get runny.

Thanks Bobs although she had asked for a pudding-like filling. Sure she wouldn't complain since the cake is free!

Shirley that recipe looks great but I don't know where to get Pastry Pride....I'm kinda in the sticks and I need it for Friday at the latest.

Anyone else? Thanks Denise, too icon_wink.gif
