Thanks for the wilton cupcake site info - I looked on there for a way of purchasing it online or even those cute footed liners but couldn't fit a way. Anyone see them online for purchasing?
Pretty neat - I wouldn't send these to school with my son for fear of losing a few...lol But they are really cute for when I can watch where they are...![]()
The place where I always find, my cake supplies when they are out of stock or something like that is ebay, I allready checked and they have the cupcake fun book, for 12.99 I think plus shipping, Can I ask? how much did you pay for the one you bought at michaels?
Happy New Year ![]()
P.S. Maureen Please let me know how the square cupcakes came up without liners
I have seen the cupcake book and the other new items on ebay!
I am going to buy another one of those 4 inch tasty fill pans!
It worked great!
I live in Olathe, Ks. and I have found the book any a couple of the area Michaels stores for !2.99. The Michaels closest to me doesn't have it on the shelves yet but have it set up to be put there. I figure since they are having a cupcake class or demonstration on the 13th that is why it is out now.
I got the scoop directly from Wilton on the new Cupcake items.
They will not be released to the public until the end of Feb or First of March.
Right now, They are an exclusive item for Michaels.
Once Michaels promotion is over, then Wilton will sell to the public.
But, there are people selling these items on ebay!
Here is a pic of the new silly feet cups
The new cupcake goodies are on sale in our Michael's, too - $12.99 for the book. The footed silicone holders and new shapes of silicone reusable cups are here, too, as well as the super-deep king-sized muffin tins and liners. I inquired about the Wilton 4 class, and it will begin toward the end of February. They do not expect the Class 4 student kit until February here.
Does anyone know what the cost of the fondant/gumpaste course and kit are going to be?

Oops, sorry, not sure what the cost of the course is.
Thanks for posting those pics, Qtkaylassweets! I was thinking of the feet on an old claw-footed tub, believe it or not!! lol

Hey, that may actually be neat!!! ![]()
So I went to teach at Michaels tonight, and they have the cupcake display. I bought the book and the mini tasti-fill pans. I am waiting to use my Wilton discount to buy everything else.
My q is this. If you make cupcakes for someone in the feet pans, do you give the pans to the customers? do you ask for them back? They are expensive $9.99 for 4 of them. I guess thats the same question for all the silcone ones.
Yes, the cupcakes are meant to be served in the silicone cups.
I have a flyer wilton sent me when the 2007 yearbook came out with the pastel silicone cups on the cover, it says bake and serve out of these new silicone cups.
I do not want to give mine to people because I do not know if I will get them back in the same condition I sent them in.
But, then again, I guess it could be like with a cake stand for a wedding or something, get a deposit and when you get them back, they get their money back.
Oh ya, don't you just love the mini tasti fill pan!!!! ![]()
I don't know what I am doing wrong, but my cake always stick to those silicone holders.
Do you spray them first?
I spray mine with bakers joy and I have no problems

I was wondering the same thing. Would your deposit be the cost to replace them? That could get expensive.

Yes, I think that would work. So if the silly feet are $9.99 per set, then I guess that is what you would charge. (I am not sure how they do it with cake stands)
I bought the silly feet to make cupcakes for my grandchildren so I know I will get them back (eventually) but I didn't think of having to make them for customers. I guess you would have to get a deposit for them because even with the 50% coupon they were too expensive to give away!
So wilton has the cupcake book listed on wilton.com now it is 12.99 + $7.00 shipping. I found it on ebay for same price but shipping was only $3.50. The Michaels and Hobby Lobby in my are don't have the books. Heres the link for the ebay seller in case anyone is interested. she has 46 of them listed. http://myworld.ebay.com/bakingforfriends

Hello there, well I usually charge the cost of the cake stand, with the cupcake stand you can charge a 40 dlls deposit or 50 dlls depending on the 23 or 38 stand, I increase the sales tax and a 5 or 10 dlls for gas and fee because you have to go and replace your stand. Then with the cake stands what I do Is ask for sometimes a samaller deposit than the price of the cake stand but ask for a valid I.d. or Passport, believe me this works great, people take more good care of your stuff if you have a valid passport, so if my cake stand is worth 199.00 dlls I ask for a 200 dlls deposit or a 70.00 dlls deposit plus a valid passport or another oficial document.
Hope it helps ![]()
