My family go me a chaep airbrush for x-mas. It came from Walmart in the model car section.
So what I am wanting to know is, can this one be used for cakes, is it easy to operate, and how often do you use yours.
If you think I would be wasting my time with this one, then I still have the receipt to take it back.
Also would I even use it that much ? Do you guys use yours alot ?
I haven't gotten many order, so I hate to put alot into it if I won't be using it alot, and I would need a cheap one.
So give me your input on this one, and others that you would recommend.
Thanks, Lisa
I have heard of others using this one from wal-mart you need to get some air brush colors. It is the best toy I have for cake decorating. I have a chef master but to get started that one should work fine. I don't use it a lot but couldn't go with out it. You might what it check into a compresser pump instead of using the can once you get the hang of it.
I have don't some checking into this as well. I was told the canned air wasn't food safe because they add mustard to it to keep kids from huffing it, and the mustard taste comes out in the icing.
However I am also wondering about the one with the compressor, but it is only a single action.
I think the ones with the removable bottles are too much hassle. I use the regular Kopy Cake air brush with the cup on top adn love it.
If you are looking at a business usage I could not imagine not having one. If you look aroud there are cheaper versions for pumps. I don't think the big ones are worth the expense. I use a portable nebulizer that I got at a garage sale and it does well. The small Kopy cake pumps is good too.
Just my opinion. You'll have to find what works best for you.
