I have a HP all in one, stand alone. I've had it quite awhile, but it's not printing anymore. The paper feeds through, and it sounds like it is printing, but the page is empty. What's up with this thing? Thanks so much, Katie

I know this question may sound stupid, but....does it need a new ink cartridge?

It sounds like the ink heads are clogged. There should be a maintenance tab in your printer software that you can go to and click on clean.

Hi- if you press the menu or options button on your printer, there should be a clean ink cartridge option...
Also- did you remember to remove the protective film that covers the ink holes on your ink cartridge?
I forgot to do that once! icon_redface.gif
Also, is the cartridge a recycled ink cartridge? I found that the really really cheap recycled ink cartridges at Walmart do no work in my printer. If you look at where the ink comes out on the cartridge they will look really worn out.

Ink cartridges can just come bad, and should be taken back to the store if that's the case. Be sure the protective tape is removed before installing it in the printer. There are some printers that won't print if even one of the cartridges is bad, so you may have to replace the color cartridge also before it'll work.
