the baby is very cute! It looks great just the way it is but if you wanted to do anything, maybe add a dot of white for the light in his eyes and possibly make lashes and/or brows
Also, if you made the bottom of his feet just a bit more shaped and less flat it might add to it as well.

Great job!!

Ok, I do not do figures yet, so I am no expert, but I agree about the squareness. Perhaps if you made his head a little narrower, bring the collar in, give him shoulders. And a big smile! icon_lol.gif

Otherwise thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif two thumbs up!

I agree that some eyebrows and eyelashes would help. He could be softened up a bit as suggested earlier by rounding out his legs and arms. The boxiness makes him look a little stiff. You did a great job. I can't wait to try it myself!

I see what they are saying about the arms and legs. They should not be shorter, as even an infant's arms will come down to their waists or below. There are some edges on the arms and legs that could be rounded.

What a cutie. I love the head and face. I agree about the arms and legs. I think the length is good, just make sausages with a little shape to them instead of the square edges. After making a sausage shape for the arms I use my pinkie finger to help put a little indent for the wrist and elbow and for the foot arch. I saw Debbie Brown do this in a class and it worked well.

You really did a great job! If this is your first, you'll be an expert very fast!

not shorter but roll the limbs between your fingers so they appear more round the first thing i thought when I saw was that his little arms and legs seems a little square the same thing some one else pointed out was his little flat feet but I didn't see anything wrong with that may be because my babies have flat little fat feet I'm only pointing out what stood out first to me but I have never done this eaither just constructive criticism anyone who is not paying such close attention won't notice the difference and plus once the whole cake comes together it always looks better like icing on a cake when you add the border it looks 50% better

ok I took in all your suggestions, I think I made his legs look to small now..lol..maybe I will scratch him and start over. Should his body be a pear or egg etc.? After i rounded the legs his bottom looks to big. Maybe it is just me. "oops I forgot the curl" I will try again...

He's very sweet. To get his head in proportion for a babies head his features (eyes etc.) need to be only in the bottom third of the head - that will make him look younger. Try drawing a few circles and sketching in features in different parts of the head - you'll see that the lower down the features go the younger the person looks.
