Has anyone here ever taken a class by Colette Peters?
I would need to practice 24/7 for a whole year before I could even consider taking one! But I noticed she teaches a class held in Orlando, not too far from me. Maybe I'll keep dreaming ....

I'm taking her class in October 2007. You pretty much have to book a year in advance. so you'll have tons of time you pratice lol. Have you taken the wilton course 1,2,3 classes? I did and they were amazing. they helped me so much.

Don't wait - sign up now! I am new to cake artistry, and I'm old to boot icon_lol.gif . I went to Orlando to her beginner's class just this past October and thoroughly enjoyed it. She is easy-going and fun. I learned a lot from her as well as from other students. Many of the other students were quite accomplished, but all were very friendly and more than willing to share knowledge and experience. Go! Enjoy! She just may be cutting back somewhat on her teaching schedule in the near future - don't miss the opportunity to learn from one of the best thumbs_up.gif

I have taken the wilton courses one and two, taking three this Jan. Plus, I just got an email that a fourth class (fondant and gumpaste) is being added, so I'll take that one also. I was just tossing over the idea of going to her classes ... the one in Orlando this Feb and May are over $700! I feel like I would need to be *really* good before I spent that!

Thanks for your feedback,

-L

I agree with IBmoser...don't wait to get better to take the class. I did email her last month to ask the difference between the classes that she teaches at the Wilton School in Chicago and the one in Orlando. She emailed me back within 24 hours and said they were the same. You don't have to be an accomlished cake artist to both learn from her and enjoy it! They are intended for those that are relative beginners. If I can scratch the $$ together ( I just got back from the Wilton Master Course in Chicago in November) I'm going to register for the one in May in ORlando. I live in Gainesville, Fl. and that's only about a 2 hour drive...a bunch closer than Chicago!!

Congrats on your Wilton Masters class. How did that go? Is it only offered up north?! Did you learn a lot?

I am attending her class in March (chicago) hoping to find someone else attending that might want to split cost of hotel. By March I will have taken wiltons course 1,2 and 3 and ready to learn everything I can from colette.
