i have to do a birthday cake for a 7 yr old girl for saturday. she wants a cheetah cake. thumbsdown.gificon_sad.gif
i told her mom it will be my gift. then she comes up with 'oh she wants an animal cake and she loves cheetahs!' i already have the idea but its just not a subject that i'm into so i'm not looking forward to doing it.
i'm procrastinating right now big time.

thanks for listening. i just had to complain and i knew you guys would understand.

I can relate to your plight. When I say I will do a cake as a gift they then want it thier way in detail. And not what I was willing to do then I will procratinate horribly. My husband then says it is crunch time and get it done. He understands. Get it over with and then you won't have to think about it again. Have fun.... icon_biggrin.gif

Don't you just love it when they give you full autonomy as to how to do the cake? That way you can make changes that will make the cake look better than they thought it would.

We need to learn to be like Duff. I heard him say that he tells his friends that he will do their wedding cakes for free if he can choose the design. If they want it their own way, then they pay. I think that that is the way it should be, remember the old saying" beggars can't be choosy".

I totally understand you, cause I've been through that but I have learn to look at it as an apportunity to create something new and challenge myself, there are a lot of great ideas on this gallery, I'm sure you'll come up with something that a 7 year old would love..have fun
