Ok, so I got an air brush for Christmas. I am wondering if I can use food colors in it. I didn't get any colors for Christmas!!! I really just want to play with it and will get air brush colors soon. Thanks!!!

Make sure you use water based colors, the pastes and gels will clog your gun.

What if I mix the gel colors with a little water? I really just want to play. I am so excited I got it, but I didn't get any colors!

The fibers in colors that are not made for airbrushes can clog and cause damage to your equipment. I know it's not all that fun, but you can practice by spraying water though the airbrush onto newspaper or something to get the feel for the flow and how the trigger works.

I agree- you could really screw up your new toy if you don't use the proper colors with it! I know it's hard to wait, but it's better than having to buy another airbrush.

That's what I thought. I am going to my Mom's tomorrow and I hope to go to a cake place that might have some of the things I want there. We don't have much of a selection in the boonies where I live. Thanks!!
