There are many good posts about Christmas, and that is wonderful! However, not everyone has good holidays all the time. Vent here!

I'll go first. The kids are gone, my fiance are both sick, I didn't get my baking done due to being sick (won't contaminate!), PMS is coming on and with it I've gained 8 lbs in 7 days, and my guy leaves in one week and is leaving us behind for a month (good thing but hard). I expected to be baking right now, not being miserable!

Anyone else have a rough holiday? I hope not! But feel free to add if you did.

i could list quite a few, but instead i am going to be thankful for what i have. there are those without and i usually try to tell myself that when the pitty party for me sets in. I am sorry that you are ot having such a wonderful Christmas, you are not alone. almost everyone i talk to just is not in the spirit of things this year.

born2bake - Nope, no pity parties! More of a roll of the eyes, a laugh at timing, and "oh well, we'll get over it." Hope your day gets better, as well!

Monica - Love is sharing a box of tissues! He's on the back end of it, I just caught it hard (fever and junk) last night. I realized Christmas will come whether we are ready for it or not, even when we haven't finished our To Do lists. The decorated hanging plant and kid-made cookies are sweeter than having everything perfect. Plus, no waking up at 7am this morning!

Ugh - we are all sick too icon_sad.gif Me & the kids that is, not DH. Hmph. The worst part was that my daughters birthday was the 23rd (Sat.), and she spent half of the day napping on the sofa. Poor kid. She's doing a little better today, but I have a feeling she's going to crash this afternoon.

Things are just going around this year. I almost had to call off dinner. Stomachs still not right, but much better then it was a couple of days ago. We started here last week and its run through everyone. So hopefully we won't have another run at it again this season.

Try to make the best of the day. We have here.

Merry Christmas everyone.

peg - love the quote! I'm glad my kids are finally old enough to help. Takes more time, but they are learning!

We went to see the outlaws for lunch and a movie, but came home right after. My fi was so sweet, and came home with me and stayed while I slept 8 hrs. I wanted him to stay with his family since he'll be gone, but he wanted to take care of me. *Where's that sweet sappy icon when ya need it?*

Well mine wasnt as bad as yours the only thing that upsets me is that I really like to bake but I love to cook. I wanted to do something special for christmas dinner but they didnt want me to and my MIL is a witch so I didnt. Dinner sucked and when we where all sitting there eating CHICKEN instead of turkey she complained that she had to do everything but gets mad if I even offer. Then the next day my stomach was hurting so bad in my lower abdoman SP and its just now starting to feel better. I think it was from all the ham and the chunk that they cooked. (NO SWEETS AT ALL) So anyways from now on I will be cooking turkey and what I WANT and my husband instead of what that witch wants.
