I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated! So...we went to Sam's Club today and got a new 60" TV monstrosity. And we've been trying for about 7 hours to get the **&$#&^ thing to work!! I realize that we'll need to call the cable co. to come out and get the correct box, cables, etc hooked up, but geez. Now I'm off for 3 days and NO TELEVISION!! I just may die. lol ![]()
So, here I am. DH is upstairs putting our 2 year old to sleep and "Santa" has already been by, so now this is all I can do until my son is asleep.
So sorry! My hubby has been looking at TV's too! But, I'm not going to let him do ANYTHING until after MY DAY (Dec. 26) when I stay IN BED or IN RECLINER and watch TV or movies all day long;drink tea and eat snacks!
All my kiddos are grown and grandchildren live in California, so No Santa for us anymore! I miss him! Maybe when I get some grandchildren HERE then he will return!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Yeah...it's WAY more fun at Christmas with a small child! But, a frustrated husband with a TV that's on steroids that doesn't work properly is a total disaster!!! ![]()
This will be a funny story to tell in years to come. "Santa" did have quite a time setting up a tent for my son! I...oops...I mean Santa didn't have a clue and now the huge tent is sitting in our living room next to the tree taking up the other half of the living room that the TV isn't occupying.
Good grief.
Oh, no!
Our power tends to go out during spring storms. I made sure we have a generator, I cannot live without my TV. I'm the TV generation - 60's.
You poor thing, I hope you don't lose it and throw the TV out the door.
On a lighter note - I have a new computer monitor and now I can see all your pictures clear as day. I kept complaining to my husband, "I can't see the cakes on my favorite web-site, CC". I guess Santa was listioning.
I am here, sitting at work, waiting for 2 am to come so I can go home.
He did just hook the cable directly to the tv and now we can see the picture MUCH better. I can't use my DVR or TV guide, but I'll live without that until we can get the new cablebox. I also don't think that we get HBO and other premium channels, but I can live without that too. THANK YOU MOYDEAR77 AND YOUR HUSBAND FOR THE HELP!!! I won't die over the holiday now...lol!
Thanks to all of you up right now.....you're saving my sanity!!!
you helped a LOT...we never would have thought to just plug the cable without the cablebox. We get basic cable, local channels, and some of the extended cable. I get all of the channels that I watch regularly now and we didn't before we set it up this way. WHEW!!! I can make it now. Before we got your help we could only get the public access, local and the ad channel. Not good....and they were blurry at that.
I'm not going to die now!!! ![]()
Oh I feel your pain. Last week when we had the blizzard here in colorado, the wind was 70 mph and knocked our satallite all out of wack, wind pulled up the brackets holding it down and spun it all the way around. 3 days NO TV or DSL (too cold for hubby to get out there and fix it)
and I am not working right now which made it even worse.
Sad how much of a tv junky I am. LOL
I am here, sitting at work, waiting for 2 am to come so I can go home.
Same here except I don't get off until 7:20! I wanna go home and be lazy for a change. No rest for the weary, have to be at breakfast at 9am then go to the in-laws for a while, probably go to my parents for a while. By the time it's all done I'll probably be up for over 24 hours. UGH! Then right back to the baking tomorrow.
Twas the night before Christmas, and hear I sit, done with the work. As I look around the house, for the first time in my life, I did not put up a tree, or any decorations. I just got too busy. This is my favorite time of the year and never got to enjoy putting up all the stuff. The kids are all grown, and don't live close, so no Santa here either. I miss the all nighters, trying to get everything wrapped and put under the tree for the kids. So, it is 3:30 Am Christmas morning, and feeling a little blue, that I did not find the time to bring the spirit into the house. I never even sent cards this year. Where did the time go? We will be celebrating the family Christmas on the 30th, so I am looking forward to seeing all the grand-kids and spending time with family. Sometimes I wonder why I work so much, especially this time of the year. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hi, All.
Theresa
here. Everything is done except the arroz con gandules (Puerto Rican-style rice and pigeon peas). After my son finishes his work day (yes, the ambulance waits for no holiday), we will be off to my step-daughter's house for dinner.
Have A Merry Day!

Merry Christmas everyone... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that couldn't stay away on Christmas morning!
Cupcake: Well, I had 3 weddings in a row (PLUS I work a job) in Nov. and MY kids came Dec. 3 (THAT was a wedding day too!) so we had EARLY Christmas. So, guess what I did? I put up the tree on Halloween night! A little early? YEAH! But, I COULDN'T go one year without a tree! I didn't get my entire house decorated like I wanted, but, the tree WAS up! Thank Goodness it is an artificial tree! LOLL
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
