Hi Everyone,

I'm still trying to figure out this royal icing thing for cookies. What kind of food color works best for this kind of icing? i bought a brand at a supply store but was really unhappy with the way the colors came out. Is there a kind or brand that works best?

Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

I have been really happy with the AmeriColor icing colors. The colors are really vivid and true.

I second Americolor. I love how the colors turn out. You don't have to use the whole bottle to get a nice red or black.

Americolor is great, just don't use any coloring that has oil in it's base or your royal will never dry!

Americolor is the brand that I (and others in this thread) recommend. It is a gel.
