I'm making a boxed red velvet cake for the first time and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to make it better. I couldn't find one in the cake mix doctor that didn't use yellow cake mix.

I used the basic 'doctr' recipe.
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup water
1 Box Duncan Hines Red Velvet
1 Box Jello Instant Chocolate Pudding
Then I add Red food coloring because the pudding darkens mix

I baked this one for a friends boss having a birthday and since that one,
her co-workers have asked for 3 more.
I also use the crusting cream cheese icing recipe from this site. icon_smile.gif
