I've done several FBCT's (never had a problem), I made one two days ago, and put it in the freezer. Tonight I baked and iced my cake. I went to put the FBCT on, and it's sicking to the wax paper! I seems like the frosting isn't frozen! So, now the FBCT is sitting on the cake, with the wax paper on, and I don't know what to do. I don't have any more ingredients to make another batch of frosting, and the cake is due tomorrow. So, I left the FBCT on the cake (with wax paper) and stuck in the freezer, hoping it will freeze to the cake. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Please, does anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this, or make this work???

I have run into this a few times myself. Once I think I had my transfer not thick enough, and once I didn't get it onto the cake quick enough. Either case the right answer was to stick it back in the freezer cake and all and try to take the wax paper off later.

I now smear a little crisco on my wax paper before I begin and haven't had it happen since.

Thank you, I just tried it again, and NOPE....I'll leave it in there a little longer. But, it's 11:00, and I'm getting nervous. I think I'll have to come up with plan B....and no frosting ingredients. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

No, I don't have candy melts. I only have chocolate chips, I've never done a choc. transfer before. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Well, my FBCT did not work!! I scraped it off, and used some leftover frosting I had. I made a night scene, and I'm literally in tears!! Originally I wanted a FBCT of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus (like the ones in the gallery), but since it did not work, this is what I had to do. I just think it's too dark, and not very celebration like. Well, it's midnight, and I think I just took on more than I should've this time of year. I have the whole family coming over to my house, and with all of that, along with this cake, and working full time, it was just too much. I'm not charging her for the cake because I'm truely not happy with it. It's in my photos. icon_cry.gif
