I googled : sugar cookie dried cherries white chocolate chips

My search gave me over 20,000 sites. I checked out a few and the recipes they give are really similar--maybe a measurement slightly one way or the other on each ingred, but for the most part, the same.

Whenever I am looking for something like that, I just google a few key ingreds and that usually does it. Hope that helps!

Hi there!
That reminds me of a cookie recipe my mom sent me for Cookie Monster cookies. They have dried cherries in them and they are GREAT!
Let me dig it out and I'll post it. Might not be the same, but similar.

These might not be exactly what you are looking for, but they are *awsome*!

1 c dried cherries
1/4 t salt
1 c boiling water
3/4 c chips (dark, milk chocolate or white)
1 stick butter
1/2 c both white & brown sugar
3/4 c chopped pecans
1 egg
2 t vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 t baking soda

Put dried cherries in bowl, cover w/ boiling water. Let stand 5 minutes then drain. Mix: butter, sugar, add egg & vanilla. Mix in flour, soda, salt. Last, stir in chips, cherries & nuts. Batter will be stiff. Bake @ 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, making sure not to overcook.

Enjoy!

I'm trying the ones Korensmommy posted -- they do sound fab!! After I make the initial recipe, I was thinking of making it substituting the pecans for almonds -- I love anything cherry/almond!! Will keep you posted!! icon_biggrin.gif

paula deen has a very good recipe for one, too. i tried it over the holidays but i substituted dried cranberries for the cherries and walnuts for the pistacios (i think that's what hers called for - don't have it in front of me). i don't like pistacios (sp?) and dried cranberries were cheaper. they sure were good!

OhMyGosh! I hope I copied the recipe correctly!!
Hope they turn out awsome for everyone, we love them!

bobwonderbuns - what a great idea about the almonds, I am a cherry almond freak too! I even use a kids shampoo, Loreal for Kids, because it's cherry-almond scented!

I make cranberry hootycreeks...they have craisins, white chocolate chips, pecans or walnuts and the other usual cookie ingredients. THis is a very popular cookie...you could sub dried cherries for the craisins.
