It will be decorated in fondant with holly leaves and berries at the top and where the points meet on each teir.

I hate doubting myself but this is an important cake--lots of people will see it.

It looks very Christmasy. I would go with the green as that is more traditional and familiar than purple.

I like the purple because everyone is doing everything in green, red, white, gold and silver. But the green is more traditional. So it depends on what you are going for. But both are equally beautiful designs, I am so jealous! thumbs_up.gif

i like the purple, myself. it IS the color of Advent and it's a bit different than traditional red/green colors.....I think you should go purple.

I agree with cakes by kellie. The purple is the better one. Purple is not a traditonal color for christmas but it is atraditional color for advent.

I vote for the purple........but if you want more traditional...a deep burgundy might be nice with some gold accents.

Green and purple are two of my favourite colour combos...either would be good but if you pick green, I would make it a rich velvet green colour.

Your design is beautiful..can't wait to see the pics..

I like the purple.

It's different, more regal/royal looking, especially with the holly and berries.

Advent is something celebrated in the catholic church. It lasts the four weeks prior to christmas. There is an advent wreath that has four candles on it in royal purple and mauve with a fifth candle in the center that is white. The white candle is lit on christmas.
