So someone just gave me an american express gift check for xmas and i think i'm going to go to Barnes and Noble and treat myself to the CAKE BIBLE. Its been something I've wanted but never wanted to buy it for myself. So my question is......What would you treat yourself too??????

hey FYI when KA discontinue a certain color...they mark down the mixer. I got a celery green KA for about $75.00 cheaper then the going amounts...plus I put in some gift certificates i had and ended up paying $50 out of my pocket. I was a happy bee that day! icon_smile.gif

Awesome on the discontinued colors. I could use a new KA - I've about killed this one. lol

To treat myself? I'd probably first go get a frou frou coffee. But I'd be all over some new cookbooks because the 1000 I already own is never enough.

That's funny missyv110. I think we said that at the same time!

Doesn't it suck to work on a cake all day and maybe cookies and candy and then have used every pan in the house but have to wash them by hand? I soooooooooooooo wish I had a dishwasher....I have dishes stcked way high right now on top of the stove just waiting for me. icon_cry.gif

Im not sure how much it runs .. I only looked at the price once and knew it was out of my range, IF I can remember what I did see, I think the gun was around 200.00$ .. Theres some good video on that homepage if you click around enough .. its VERY impressive what they do with it!!

You know, I haven't thought about that.....

A cruise, a trip to Hawaii! That would be nice!

A day at a spa would be wonderful. (As far as I know, there isn't even one in town.) Barring that, a massage and a nice dinner, that someone else cooked!

If I could treat myself to something. It would be a nice vacation in the tropics for myself, my husband and my kids. I would love to take them to a tropical island somewhere and just relax, fish, snorkle, just have family fun with no stress of everyday life.

I like the ring - it's beautiful!! And, even though I have a blue KA that I love - the green one sounds AWESOME to me. ha!

You know, I have the Cake Bible - actually got it years ago when I was doing a book club, buy 10, get 10 free kind of thing, and until recently, I hadn't ever opened it. Boy, all those years, I had no idea what I was missing. Although, I'm new to the cake business, so I wouldn't have known what to do with it until now anyway! LOL

I just got the Celebration Cakes by Karen Goble - it's got some REALLY cute stuff in it, especially if you like working with gumpaste and fondant.
