Ok I have a ton of brownies to make today for christmas gifts and I want to find a way to get them done quickly as the kids are outta school and if I make one batch at a time the first batch will get dipped into icon_mad.gif

Is it possible to bake the brownies in a 12x18" sheet cake pan? If so do I need to use the flower nails like I would with a cake? Do I bake the same time and temp as I would for a cake? Or should I just do single batches to make sure they come out right? I will be making from a box mix, using 3 mixes to get the amount I need....

I was originally going to make my brownie teasers but decided since these are mainly for adults I needed to make larger ones so I figured I'd do them in the traditional squares although I don't like normalcy I'll deal with it for this lol... Any help and suggestions are welcome and much appreciated!!!!!

Thanks in advance! Becky

I've baked brownies in the 12x18 ok. I've never used the flower nail method, so I've no insight on how that would work. I lowered the temp by 25 dgrees and baked a little longer. Also used the Magic Strips so the center would cook evenly.

Thanks Debi!

Anyone else have any suggestions, ideas, comments??

I was thinking after I posted this that maybe I could do it in regular cupcake pans, that way it's larger then my teasers but also cleaner and neater then the traditional bar brownie....

I think it would look great it muffin pans, but wouldn't that be a LOT of extra work? Unless you have a TON of muffin pans, lol! Also, would they get dried out in the muffin pans? IDK.. I've never done that but if you think it would work it would look great.
Other wise I'd do 'em in a 12x18, but I'd lower the oven temp and use magic strips if you have them (if you don't use paper towles. It works almost as well and you don't need a pin to attach them- they stick to the pans by themselved. Just use a length of paper towles folded down the the height of the pan and wet them well. They won't burn.). You could also add a flower nail... i don't see how it could hurt!

Yes Doug that's what I was thinking although I don't have any festive muffin liners I'll have to go get some I was just going to use my plain white ones lol. I've made the teasers a couple times, in mini cupcake liners/pans and they've turned out great. The first time I didn't spray the liners but the 2nd time I did and it worked better. They don't get dried out at all and they are never around long enough to get dried out from sitting lol. icon_smile.gif Thanks for all your ideas and help gang icon_smile.gif

You can see a picture in my photo album. They are just two bite brownies in a mini muffin liner for clean hands icon_wink.gif I take and put the liners in the pan, then spray with nonstick spray and fill them about 2/3 full and bake for about 20 minutes.

On a package of mini pans I bought (bear shaped mini pans) it says when baking mini items bake at the time you would for muffins which is basically 20-25 minutes so I bake the brownie teasers for 20 minutes and check on them and stand over them checking every 2 minutes until finished. They are delicious and very quick and easy. The kids love them because they are "baby brownies" as my 4 year old nephew calls them lol.
