Head Cake Help Please!!

I am planning to make a head cake and I need help with how to do it. Do I use ball pan or should I stack cakes and carve them and also how do I go about the stability and support of the head. any advice and help is appreciated.

The ball pan is not very big and it's round so if you use that you might want to insert another cake between the sides. Or just stack up round cakes and carve. If you don't want it to have a neck than you don't have to worry so much about supporting the cake....maybe just a sharp dowel going down through the cake to hold everything in place.
