I have come across what I think could be a great cookie recipe, but am having a little problem understanding it.
I know that it has 2 different doughs you work with. It calls for "marzipan" which I purchased in the little tube at the store. What I dont understand is, Do I add the flour, butter sugar and egg yolk to the tube of marzipan to make the second dough? Or us it as it comes out of the tube?
Here is the link to the recipe:

I think it means to use the marizpan as it comes from the tube, you need to color it before you roll it into the circle, tho. That certainly is a pretty cookie. Good luck and post photos.

Recipe

125 gr flour all PUR-FLOAT
75 gr margarine
50 gr granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
0,5 tsp lemon grated peel
egg white
egg yolk

150 gr marzipan
foodcoloring blue and talk

Make A dough OF flour, cold margarine, sugar, eggyolk and peel.
PUT it into the frigo for 30 minutes.
Roll it out 1/8 inch thick.
DO the same with the marzipan.
CUT out 2 of sizes OF of circles, the cookie has ton A bit more bigger.
Glue the marzipan with eggwhite on the cookiecirlce. Brush some egg white RK the top OF the marzipan.Make child OF funny heads, lake photo. Press three sides ton the middle.
Brush some egg yolk on the cookie (immediately on the marzipan).
Beacon for 15 of minutes on 390ºF. Let cool down.
_____

Looks like the marzipan is all by itself, even in the picture. One dough is the flour, margarine, sugar, egg yolk and peel, the other is rolled marzipan.

Do a search with the same cookie name and you might find a better recipe/translation if this is still a bit confusing.

Thank You!!! Thats what I was thinking. It just seems so little that is in the tube. But with the cookie dough translated, it really is a small recipe.
Y'all are great thumbs_up.gif

Well, I have made the cookie and I am pretty embarrassed. I cant get up enough nerve to even post a picture..... The cookies shape totally flatted and flopped! The cookie tastes like a shortbread cookie with the marzipan on top. The taste is pretty good tho.... they just look like heck.....
I will try this again, but maybe with a cookie recipe that I am more familliar with that I know will hold it's shape.
Thanks again for the help!!
