Hi. I'm good with cakes but I'm not to good with cookies. My quesion is. Is normal for the cookie get soft after I put the royal icing? I like to make the cookies crispe. The recipe a use is the Wilton roll out cookies. When I bake the cookies the are crispe the problem is when I cover the cookies with royal icing and let them dry the get to soft. Please I like to leard the cookies I have some customers the what me to bake cookies. Sorry if you have problem reading my topic I'm try to practes my ingles.

I have found that the cookies tend to be softer if stored in airtight containers or packaged in bags. If left out, they tend to be firmer...but they won't stay as fresh for as long. I don't know if that will help. Also, weather conditions (such as humidity) will probably affect the cookies.

Thank. The last time a make cookies my kitchen was very humidity
