My gingerbread cake recipe calls for sanding sugar, but where can I find some? I live in the DC area and have TONS of stores around, but the cake supply store didn't seem to have any!

Help!

My local decorating store has it so if you have one you shop at I would look there 1st.

Check with the local bakeries in your area or even in house bakeries in large grocery stores that do cake decorating they generally have it and may even sell you a few pounds if you ask. The local chain store that I worked in we had it in the bakery in large 20 pound tubs but I do not think we ever used it.

Ugh! thank you! I actually have some. For some reason I thought sanding sugar was that super fine colored sugar - like white seat sand. I have the bigger crystal colors! THANKS!!!
