Help!! A Slab Of Bacon!!

I have been asked to do a grooms cake like a slab of bacon.Anyone have any ideas on what I would make it out of?? Fondant I would think. Anyone have any ideas??

You could do either--buttercream or fondant. For the edge of the bacon (in buttercream) you could use the comb to show the slices. In fondant, just lightly indent it. Then paint the red meat part.
