I Did Something Really Stupid!

Are any of you bakers/decorators out there diabetic or hypoglycemic (sp?)? Well, I have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), am on a 2000 calorie a day diabetic diet (can't have sweets). Most of the time I do well with it, but last week I had several cake orders. I also was decorating a cake to take to our Sunday School Class Christmas Party. I had iced all of the cakes and was in the process of decorating. Well, we had a family reunion the same night as SS Class Party, so we didn't make it to the party. I stuck the undecorated cake in the refrigerator with plans to finish it for another occasion. Well, I didn't get the cake finished so I took it out of the fridge and told my hubby and two teens to have at it. Here comes the stupid part: I have been a bit depressed lately because of problems with my son, so last Friday night I sat in front of the TV with the rest of the cake in my lap and a fork in my hand and ate, and ate, and ate some more. Boy was it yummy (and can't cake make you feel better!!??). Well, if that wasn't bad enough the next night I ate two more pieces. So then, all day Saturday, I can't tell you how awful I felt. Fatigue you wouldn't believe and couldn't get anything at all accomplished. And if that's not bad enough Sunday I had a migraine headache complete with vision messing up. I am still recovering from all of the fatigue, like I wasn't behind enough as it was. Hopefully I've learned my lesson this time and I am working hard to stick to my diet. Sorry this is so long.
You must be telling yourself..."Now I remember why I don't eat like that more often!" LOL, I hope you feel better!
