How long is this crazy cake going to take to bake? It has been in the oven at 350, then 325 for TWO HOURS!!!!!!! the first one I just did was not done and had a sunken middle..n icon_mad.gif o bounce back or toothpick test here with this crazy cake...is it when you lightly touch it and it "sizzles" it's NOT DONE??? hurry with advice please, I don't want to overbake this one! must be done TONIGHT (and I am out of ingredients) icon_mad.gif

I always know mine are done when the sides pull away from the sides of the pan. Hope this makes sense.

yeah that sizzle sound means that the cake isn't done yet. it's those itty bitty bubbles poppin in the batter that aren't "set" yet. And yep pound cake at 325 takes a coon's age
