I want to try out the cake mix extender recipe today with a choc mud cake but I don' t have any yoghurt or sour cream. Can I substitute with something else? I do have some thickened cream here would that work the same? Any other suggestions??

I use instant pudding mix instead of sourcream/yogurt and it turns out wonderful!

I have used apple sauce and it works great!

Might be a dumb question sweetconfectionschef but do you just add the dry pudding or do you actually make the pudding before adding it.

I add the pudding mix dry. It gives extra flavor and lots of moisture! icon_biggrin.gif
