I bought one for my office. We decorated in blue and silver and our walls are yellow. I believe they are just the white ones that are painted but very pretty in my opinion.
saw something on TV the other day and they are painted.
ShirleyW, I know what you mean.
Took me several years to get used to the mauve poinsettias.
Sadly, by the time I get used to a trend it's over and then I have to start over..... ROFLMAO
Does that make me a fuddy-duddy?
Anyway, here's everything you ever wanted to know about poinsettias:

Martha Stewart had different colors on her show the other day and one was blue, they were grown and not painted.
Poinsettias do come in many different colors. We are just use to the red and white ![]()
You can take a White plant and grow it any color you wish, sometimes, by taking food coloring and dying the water blue in this case and then watering the plant with blue water the plant will take on the blue coloring into it's leaves.... So I've heard.
It's like the Flamingo..it's actually white...it turns pink because of something in the "shrimp" it eats.
I'm sure that if a WHITE flamingo landed on our heads we wouldn't even know it was one! lol
