has anyone ever tried making mass batches of MMF to store? i was thinking of making many batches of MMF and putting it in a bag, sealing it and putting it in a 4 gallon bucket... similar to the packaging of VirginIce fondant. Anyone know if this'll work? It'll probably decrease my overall workload, and I might even be able to sell some of it! icon_biggrin.gif
TIA!

I don't see a problem with this. I made too much once and stored it tightly wrapped up, and it was fine several months later. So I say go for it!

what is your recipe for MMF? When I make it ..it has a mind of its own! It runs off the table and cake. Help

I use the recipe that ntertayneme has posted on the tutorials. That works out great. I have stored it for up to a couple of months. I cover with suran wrap then I used press and seal. I wish I had bigger tubbs to put it into. I dont mix it in my KA because it always sounds like its going to die when I am making MMF so I have started mixing it by hand. It takes a bit longer but works really well for me.

Do you think that chocolate MMF would hold just as well? I agree that making large batches is smart.

hmmm i'm definitely going to give this a try... at least it's cheap if it doesn't end up working. i'll try with some smaller batches first and then go for broke and fill a 4 gallon pail!
