I am in the middle of putting this cake together for my daughter's b'day celebration at home tonight. She picked the toppers/toys to use and the colors. Now.... is it me, or is it missing something? The sides look kind of plain to me but not sure what to do with them. Any ideas?? Or should I just leave it as is? icon_eek.gif

i think the cake looks really well balanced, there's a lot going on on the top of the cake and the colours are really bright... if anything, you could add some dots or swirls to the sides, but i think it looks perfect as is!!

I think if you put too much more on it it will become over done. But if you want put tip 3 hearts or dots around the sides. Very prety cake though.

I'd put some of those purple stars on the sides in random order! Very nice cake!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I might just leave it as is. I agree that it might get too busy with more on it. Besides... I have 4 other cakes to get done by this afternoon and still need to have time to clean the house and make dinner for an extra 6 people tonight!! YIKES!!! Why am I still sitting here at the computer????

I think the cake is great and I love your writing!!!!!

I first thought maybe some clouds & stars on the sides, but...the more I look at it, the more I think it looks just right the way it is.

That's a great eye your daughter has, lol!!!

Maybe make a few larger puffy clouds on the side!!! If you make the clouds approx as large as the ones on top and only make three or five evenly spaced around the cake I think it will look just fine! The cake does look top heavy because it is a tall cake! It's very pretty and the colors are wonderful but I think the clouds will set it off just right!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the clouds being overdecoritice!
