Cake Stands/plateaus

I need to get a silver square and a round cake plateau. Does anyone know where I can get them and not pay $150-$180 for them? I would like to get the 18" or larger stands. I have a wedding coming up in April that has requested these types of stands and I can't find them for cheaper than this.

Have you tried surfing the net for what you want. Call around to a few cake shoppes see if they can help you out. I don't know what else to tell you but I hope that helps.

Look on eBay. You might find something there.

The problem with ebay is that they always end up going for even more than $150-$180. I have looked on the net, but haven't come across anything cheaper yet. I just thought someone on here might know of a good place.

shiplec - as for ebay, I got my 18" square silver cake plateau for under $55 dollars - brand new.

Cost for this one was only $48.99 .. it's a raised type of plate but has a beautiful presentation.

Watch ebay. I just bought a 22" round engraved silver yesterday for $99 plus shipping, so like $129. Pretty exciting.
