What would you do for a first birthday as far as type of cake and filling??? Ideas, recipes, anything! Thanks.

Howdy neighbor!
It's usually mostly adults at a first birthday, so I'd go with something that appeals to adults and kids alike. White cake with strawberry buttercream is nice. Just mix some preserves in with your regular buttercream. If you're making a smash cake, I'd leave the filling out of that.
