My Cake's Going In Taste Of Home!!! :)

I hope this is ok... I'm tooting my own horn. One of my cakes (the Christmas Holly with Brush Embroidery in my gallery photos) will be featured in next month's Taste of Home Magazine. Their feature for the December/January issue is Holiday Desserts.

It all came about by me submitting several cakes for their contest way last Spring that the winners were published in the Jul/Aug issue. I think I sent as many as could be done for each category. icon_smile.gif Well anyway, they called me and here I though I'd won one of the categories in the contest after the lady said this is ??? from Taste of Home Magazine, but she went on to say it was something better. They wanted to have my cake as one of the feature cakes in the Dec/Jan Holiday Desserts issue. You could have knocked me over with a feather... Yeah!!! This is only the first few of the cakes I've done since taking the Michael's classes and I'd just learned this embroidery technique.

So if you already get it or if you don't check it out. I have to say thanks to all the inspiration and great people here at CC. I mentioned Cake Central several times so I hope they list it in the article. I don't know how big the spread will be, but they got a little bio info on me as well as all the details and how to's for the cake. They wanted something fairly simple people could do at home.
