Our local bakery makes these cake like brownies that have a thick icing on top. The brownie part is very dense and the icing has a "lardy" taste to it. Just wandering if anyone might have a recipe that is similar to what I am describing... Thanks! ( these are my hubby's favorite!)

Don't know that many decorators would consider "lardy" tasting frosting a good thing. tapedshut.gif

May I ask the name of the bakery?

It is a bakery in KY and It really is the best brownie I have put in my mouth. It is really more of a cake like brownie than a fudgy brownie. It seems to have a fudge type of frosting/ icing. It doesn't taste like shortening but you can tell that it is made with some crisco or shortening. I guess my description sounded rather gross.
