Does anyone have a pattern that can be printed out for eyelet lace done with fondant? I'm doing a 1st birthday cake for my granddaughter and want to have lace on one of the layers. I changed my design at the last minute and I need to have the cake done by Saturday.

Many thanks to all of you talented bakers out there!

Hi Sicilian - welcome to CC! icon_smile.gif
I don't have a pattern, but I had planned to do a baby shower cake in eyelet lace last weekend, but had a family emergency and couldn't finish it. The plan was to cut scalloped pieces out of fondant which i did(it's the pink baby shower cake in my photos), then use round tips (size 5 maybe) to cut three holes in each scallop, then outline each hole and the scallop with royal icing. That was the plan!

If you have a cake shop near you that sells fondant cutters, they make a set called "broderie anglaise" that will do the same thing.

Hope that helps!

Ahhh...very good. I only wish I had a cake shop near me. I'll take a look at your cakes...and thanks for the quick response.
