I want to make the cake on the cover!!! But, I don't have enough money to buy the book! :crying:

IS ANYONE WILLING TO SCAN THE PAGES AND EMAIL THEM TO ME???? icon_biggrin.gif
OR is there a way I can just get a really good picture of the cake???

I would really appreciate it!!!! I am making this cake for a very large event that is called "Power of a Purse" for the Women's Fund and there are going to be like 300 people there! I want this cake cause it's simple and stunning. My cake is going to be in the silent auction and I can put any type of promotional materials for my cake! I am soo excited!
If anyone has any other ideas for a purse please give them to me!!!

Thanks in advance!
Stephanie

Better than this? http://www.confetticakes.com/book.html

That is pretty much all there is to the cake! The back is like the front but plain, no bow or flowers.

Sorry, I don't have a scanner

THANK YOU JUNEHAWK!!!THAT PICTURE IS GREAT!!!

Unless there is anything else I need in the book I think that picture is fine.

1 more thought - try the library - that's where I got it from. Since, like you said the book is too much $$. Good luck on the cake & auction!!!!

I just checked out the book from the library. I requested it online - they hold it and call when it's ready! It took a few weeks, but it's a great book. Her instructions and tips are very easy to follow. Good luck!

Most libraries have it... and it is out on Amazon.com with the option of enlarging the front cover.

Oops, forgot to add that Elisa Strauss uses gumpaste to form the handle, etc. and advises that you start two days to one week in advance on the embellishments as they need a lot of time to dry.
